Quatra Duo:
Painted Music
This album of works for flute and guitar by four heralded contemporary composers unlocks the imaginative, expressive power of these beloved instruments
PAINTED MUSIC, as its name suggests, utilizes these two instruments to imprint a gallery of images onto the canvas of the mind. Far from being limited by the duo format, here Quatra Duo seems to relish the challenge. The listener is left with a new sense of what can be accomplished with merely two instruments — in the hands of the right musicians, that is.
"The performances throughout are immaculate - LaQuatra and Stanley are first-rate players individually but have great ensemble and mutual understanding. A rewarding listen." - Gramophone
"It is a wonderful recording from start to finish. Every piece is strong and the playing is superb throughout." - Bryan Johanson, composer
"These are brilliant performances of this music. They have to be the finest flute/guitar duo on the planet!" - James McGuire, composer

Jeff LaQuatra:
TWILIGHT: Guitar Music At The End Of The Century
In 2002, Iznaola Guitar Works released Jeff’s debut solo recording entitled Twilight: Guitar Music at the End of the Century, which includes world-premiere recordings of works by Ricardo Iznaola, James McGuire and Štěpán Rak. In a review of Twilight, Classical Guitar Magazine’s Steve Marsh stated, “his technical abilities [are] strong enough for him to control every nuance and phrase to perfection. This is a first-class debut album and a name to watch out for.” In 2014, Twilight was included in Enrique Robichaud’s publication Guitar’s Top 100 – A Guide to Classical Guitar’s Most Recorded Music.
